Nurturing Tomorrow's Trailblazers — an internationally-minded, concept-driven education for Grades 6 to 10 at Skill Stork International School.
Skill Stork International School: Nurturing Tomorrow's Trailblazers
At Skill Stork International School, every student is acknowledged, esteemed, and presented with challenges that spark growth. We create an environment where students absorb, reflect, and apply their expanding knowledge of the world — every single day.
We follow a unique 5-day repetition cycle — 8 focused 40-minute classes daily, steering away from rigid transitions and the constraints of the clock.
This approach provides a broader space for self-discovery. Elective choices — visual & performing arts, robotics, Model UN and more — empower students to pursue what truly matters to them.

Through dynamic projects, students apply their understanding in diverse contexts, cultivating creativity, adaptability, and a holistic worldview.
How Do We Teach?

Inclusive and Differentiated Teaching
Every child is unique, and our inclusive environment celebrates this diversity. Teachers tailor learning experiences to meet individual needs, ensuring that all students thrive. With differentiated instruction, we challenge advanced learners while providing support to those who need it, fostering a culture of equity and achievement.
What Makes Our Students Unique?
The MYP framework develops essential ATL skills, including research, communication, collaboration, self-management, and critical thinking. At Skill Stork, students practise these skills across subjects, ensuring they are prepared for academic success and life beyond school.
Thinking Skills: Cultivating Innovators
We encourage our students to think critically and creatively, enabling them to analyse information, solve complex problems, and make informed decisions. Through inquiry-based learning and interdisciplinary projects, students develop a mindset of innovation, empowering them to tackle real-world challenges with confidence.
Research Skills: Developing Knowledge Seekers
Research is key to understanding the world. At Skill Stork, we nurture students' ability to find, evaluate, and use information effectively. Whether conducting experiments, exploring historical trends, or analysing data, students become adept at investigating questions and constructing evidence-based arguments.
Communication Skills: Empowering Voices
Effective communication is essential in a globalised world. Our students learn to express their ideas clearly and confidently, both orally and in writing. From presentations and debates to creative storytelling and digital communication, they master the art of engaging diverse audiences with purpose and clarity.
Social Skills: Building Collaborative Leaders
Collaboration lies at the heart of our learning community. We teach students to work effectively in teams, respect diverse perspectives, and resolve conflicts constructively. These skills prepare them to lead with empathy and adaptability in any environment.
Self-Management Skills: Inspiring Independent Learners
Time management, organisation, and emotional resilience are key components of self-management. At Skill Stork, we guide students to set goals, prioritise tasks, and adapt to challenges with a growth mindset. These skills ensure they remain focused and balanced, both in their studies and beyond.
International Mindedness
As an IB World School, we cultivate global citizens. Students explore diverse cultures, perspectives, and values, building empathy and respect for others. Through international collaborations and culturally rich curricula, we prepare students to contribute meaningfully to a global society.
Reflection in the MYP
Reflection is central to personal growth. Students regularly evaluate their progress, challenges, and achievements, developing self-awareness and resilience. Reflection also helps learners set goals and continuously improve, making it a cornerstone of our educational philosophy.
Community Service
Our commitment to creating change-makers is reflected in our service-learning initiatives. Students engage in meaningful community projects, applying classroom knowledge to address real-world issues. These experiences instil a sense of responsibility, empathy, and the drive to make a positive impact.
Peer Learning
Peer learning is a dynamic approach where students share knowledge and skills with one another. This method enhances understanding, builds confidence, and fosters collaboration. By teaching peers, students reinforce their own learning while developing communication and leadership abilities. Peer teaching also encourages empathy and teamwork, creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Digital Citizenship
In the digital age, technology is a vital enabler of learning. At Skill Stork, ICT tools enhance teaching and learning, fostering collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. From research to presentations, students use technology to deepen their understanding and develop future-ready skills.
Robust Assessment Practices
Assessments at Skill Stork go beyond grades. Through formative and summative evaluations, we provide actionable feedback to guide student growth. Our assessment practices align with IB standards, emphasising understanding, skill development, and the application of knowledge in authentic contexts.
Formative Assessments
Formative Assessments are a vital part of the learning process. Guided by clear assessment criteria and detailed task-specific clarifications, students understand expectations and focus on continuous improvement. These assessments provide meaningful feedback, helping learners refine their skills, deepen understanding, and achieve personal growth.
Through this approach, we ensure every student takes ownership of their learning journey while developing the confidence to excel.
Summative Assessments
Our summative assessments evaluate students' understanding and skills at the end of a unit. Based on the IB MYP's rigorous assessment criteria, these tasks challenge students to apply their knowledge in creative, analytical, and real-world contexts — promoting critical thinking, problem-solving, and reflection.
The Middle School embraces both internal and optional external assessments, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of your child's growth and capabilities.
External Assessment: The Personal Project
A hallmark of the Middle School journey is the Personal Project, undertaken by each student in their final year. This project is a testament to their ability to conduct independent work, producing a truly personal and creative piece over an extended period. External validation by the IB adds credibility to this summative review of their skills and accomplishments.
Optional eAssessment
Skill Stork International School has the option to register for eAssessment — an opportunity for students to earn a formal, internationally recognised certificate. This includes:
- ePortfolios of Coursework: Students compile a digital portfolio showcasing their coursework, including a compulsory ePortfolio for the Personal Project.
- On-Screen Examinations: Rigorous on-screen examinations lasting between one hour 45 minutes and two hours, assessing knowledge across various subject groups.
